Important information for proposers

All proposals must be submitted in accordance with the requirements specified in this funding opportunity and in the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) that is in effect for the relevant due date to which the proposal is being submitted. It is the responsibility of the proposer to ensure that the proposal meets these requirements. Submitting a proposal prior to a specified deadline does not negate this requirement.

Physical Oceanography Office Hours

The National Science Foundation Physical Oceanography Program is pleased to announce two upcoming Office Hour events.

Office Hours will be a new opportunity for our scientific community to ask questions about the Program and our review process. We encourage anyone considering submitting a research proposal or who has questions about our Program to attend.

Each event will first focus on a specific topic, followed by an open question and answer session. We encourage everyone to attend even if they are not interested in the selected topic, as there will also be time allocated for general questions during each event.

Our first event will take place on Wednesday, May 25th, 3-4 pm ET. Our topic will be CAREER Proposal submission to Physical Oceanography. To attend, please follow this link and register for the meeting via Zoom. Advance registration is required.

Our second event will take place Tuesday, June 14th, 3-4 pm ET and will address proposal submission to our standard bi-annual target date occurring on August and February 15th.

For any questions or further inquiries, please contact our Science Assistant, Hana Busse (hbusse@nsf.govor Program Director, Mete Uz (bmuz@nsf.gov).
