Important Information for Proposers

Any proposal submitted in response to this funding opportunity should be submitted in accordance with the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) that is in effect for the relevant due date to which the proposal is being submitted. Submitting a proposal prior to a specified deadline does not negate this requirement.

Synopsis

The CFARI Cluster includes programs for larger infrastructure investments to meet the growing needs of the biological sciences research community and enable US researchers to remain competitive in a global research environment. These programs include institutes, centers, mid¬-scale research infrastructure, facilities, and additional research infrastructure. Many of these larger entities have scopes and research themes that are typically broad, complex, technical and/or integrative--beyond what a single or smaller research project can accomplish. Given their complexity and scope, they also require project management and/or team science expertise to ensure science outcomes are achieved. Many are also expected to develop innovative programs in education and training, broadening participation, tool development, or cyberinfrastructure development and management. Each of the programs below has specific requirements and criteria contained within a solicitation.
