About this event
This is a bi-annual meeting of the industry advisory board and center members to assess ongoing research and set priorities for new research directions. Visitors interested in membership are welcome if they are willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
- We have planned a pre-meeting cocktail reception & informal dinner on Wednesday evening, 15 October, to encourage one-on-one interaction. Cocktails will be served at 6:30 pm and dinner at 7:00 pm. Please plan to join us and take a moment to let us know if you will attend by completing the brief Registration Form on our web page on or before October 10 - http://www.cercs.gatech.edu/iucrc08/.
- The workshop will be held on Thursday and Friday, 16th and 17th October at the Georgia Tech College of Computing- Klaus Advanced Computing Building (KACB), located at 266 Ferst Drive in Atlanta. The Agenda will be posted on the CERCS website prior to the meeting.
- At the Workshop on Thursday, October 16th, we are pleased to welcome Yahoo's Vice President, Search and Advertising Sciences, Larry Heck, as our first Keynote Speaker. On Friday, October 17th, Beng-Hong Lim, Sr. Director R&D of VMware will deliver our second Keynote Address. In addition to these keynotes, we are looking forward to your engagement in panels and discussion forums, in addition to hearing about the numerous technical interactions we have with our industry partners.
- We have reserved a block of rooms at the Regency Suites Hotel for the evenings of October 15th and 16th (sorry, the Georgia Tech Hotel was already booked!). To make your reservation, please call 404-876-5003 on or before the October 3, 2008 cut-off date. Identify yourself with the "CERCS IAB Workshop" to get the Georgia Tech established rate of $129/night. The hotel is located at 975 West Peachtree Street at 10th Street and is within walking distance of the Klaus Building.
