Introductory Grant Writing Conference for Faculty from Minority Serving Institutions

About the series

This is the first of two workshops with the goal to enhance the quality of NSF proposals submitted by faculty of Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). This workshop covers strategies for improving proposals focused on education development activities at MSIs. The workshop is an effort to increase the number of proposals submitted, the number of collaborative proposals among the participating institutions, and the success rates of those institutions. In addition, the number of participants from engineering and computer science programs at minority serving colleges and universities involved in the review process of NSF proposals may also increase. Participants are recruited from the faculty of engineering and computer science programs at minority serving colleges and universities who have been selected by their dean because of their interest in writing proposals for education projects. At the workshop, participants will interact with NSF program directors and share their knowledge and insights on proposal writing with colleagues from various campuses. Workshop participants should register through the conference website listed below.
