Center for Engineering Logistics and Distribution Fall 2010 IAB Meeting

About the series

This is a meeting of the industry advisory board and center members to assess ongoing research and set priorities for new research directions. Visitors interested in membership are welcome if they are willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

You are invited to attend the upcoming CELDi IAB meeting on October 20 in Fort Worth, Texas.  In addition, we hope you will join our welcome reception at 7:00p the evening prior to the conference.  We are working hard to offer many opportunities to meet and talk with our researchers, student researchers and other professionals in the field of logistics and distribution. Finally, in conjunction with our meeting this year, we are introducing our new CELDi Manager's Workshop: Simulation for Logistics Managers on October 19th.

This year's program will begin with a breakfast meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board that will include all IAB representatives, CELDi Directors and invited researchers.  Our general session for all attendees will begin at 8:30a and will include technical review sessions, poster presentations, and a featured speaker, Mr. Justin O'Toole, Group Vice President and Supply Chain Services Manager with Fortna Inc.  Justin will present the latest on "Business Case Development".  With all the innovative projects we undertake at CELDi, thinking about building the business case around implementation is critical to all of us.  The general session will conclude at 2:00p to be followed immediately by the IAB Business meeting from 2:00-3:30p.

Our host hotel is the Dallas Fort Worth Airport Marriott South.  The hotel is conveniently located near the Airport and offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the hotel.  We have arranged for a rate of $135/night for conference attendees.  We encourage you to make your lodging arrangements as early as possible by calling the hotel at 800-228-9290 and using the CELCELA group code or by following this Marriott reservation link to reserve your room.
