Center for Advanced Forestry Systems (CAFS) 2010 Annual Meeting

About the series

This is a meeting of the industry advisory board and center members to assess ongoing research and set priorities for new research directions. Visitors interested in membership are welcome if they are willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Registration:

Visit the CAFS Meeting Website, www.cnr.ncsu.edu/fer/cafs/meetings.html, for meeting details, tentative agenda, registration, and hotel reservation information. From that site, you will be able to link to the meeting registration and hotel reservations. To receive the special CAFS group rate of $129 per night, you must make your room reservation by April 5, 2010. Day 1 starts before 8:30AM (EDT) on April 27, so those traveling from other time zones may consider arriving on the 26th. The Hardwood Tree Improvement and Regeneration Center (HTIRC) is hosting an optional field tour on the 29th, leaving the hotel after the indoor session at noon, and returning to the airport at 5PM.

About the meeting:

CAFS annual meetings are key to the success of the center and focus on the interaction between university researchers and Industry Advisory Board (IAB) members. In fact, the strength of the NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center model is the constructive dialogue between university and industry scientists that leads to insight on new and ongoing research. Now with nine academic partners, we at North Carolina State, Oregon State, Purdue, Virginia Tech, University of Georgia, University of Maine, University of Washington, and our new sites, University of Florida and University of Idaho, will continue working across universities and regions to better serve you.
