Broadening Participation in STEM Resource Network (BPS-RN).

About the series

Dear Colleague Letter (12-034) announces a call for design proposals to develop innovative models for a future Broadening Participation in STEM Resource Network (BPS-RN).  The BPS-RN is intended to "Prepare and engage a diverse STEM workforce motivated to participate at the frontiers" which is an NSF performance goal in the 2011-2016 NSF Strategic Plan.  We anticipate that the BPS-RN will work with NSF grantees as well as other stakeholders at all types of institutions and organizations that are working to broaden the participation of individuals that are underrepresented in the STEM workforce (women, persons with disabilities, and underrepresented minorities).  The design phase is intended to solicit creative ideas from a wide range of organizations and individuals for the implementation of the BPS-RN.  Design proposals are due July 12, 2012.
