NCSES Interactive Data Tools
The NCSES interactive data tools allow users to easily access a large body of statistical data on R&D and the education and employment of U.S. scientists and engineers. In some cases, historical data are available as far back as 1958. Although the tools emphasize science and engineering, its data resources can provide much more information on non-S&E fields and higher education in general.
